While our main goal with HOPE-20 is to create unique income-generating opportunities for musicians, crew and others in the industry affected by the shutdown, we are also offering relief grants to help with your immediate need for basic living expenses.
We are thrilled to announce that as a TN Community CARES Program grant recipient, we have been endowed to offer musicians in the greater Nashville area substantial relief from the financial effects of COVID-19.
Simply put, HOPE-20 wants to help you pay your housing and utility bills....up to $5,000 per person between now and November 15th.
Additionally, beyond the payment of housing and utility bills, we are working with local partners to set up locations for grant recipients to pick up $100 worth of groceries per week for an 8-week period (another $800 in potential benefits).
To qualify, musicians must meet specific criteria, and be willing and able to
provide proof of financial claims made in the application.
Throughout the process, you may be asked to verify that:
1. Your primary residence is in the Greater Nashville area;
2. Your primary source of income is from the music industry,
and you were engaged in such activity as of March 15, 2020;
3. As a direct result of COVID-19 business closures or COVID-19 illness,
you’ve suffered a substantial loss of income
and are currently having difficulties paying basic bills.
THE FIRST APPLICATION ROUND ENDED @
5 PM ON SEPTEMBER 30TH
We are in the process of reviewing these applications. Depending on how many of these applications are approved, we may open up another round. If you would like to be notified if/when this happens, please provide your name and email address below.
